CNN: The United States is delaying sending military aid to Ukraine
CNN reported the words of two informed American officials that the lack of weapons stockpiles will probably force the United States to delay the transfer of military aid that it had promised to Ukraine.
According to Isna, this report was published while Kiev requested its Western supporters to speed up the delivery of weapons and remove a series of restrictions on the use of long-range missiles to attack deep into Russian territory.
According to the Pentagon, $5.9 billion remains in the Special Mechanism for U.S. Military Assistance to Ukraine with the goal of fast-tracking assistance to Kiev.
CNN also reported that US aid packages have been reduced due to the reduction of the country’s weapons stockpile.
Since the US House of Representatives failed to extend the aid to Ukraine on Wednesday, the mechanism will expire in two weeks.
The White House may be forced to change its approach and announce large packages of military aid to Ukraine that will take months to deliver.
CNN also reported a senior White House official as saying that Washington believes that Kiev needs at least half a billion dollars in military aid per month throughout fiscal year 2025.
Recently, the Wall Street Journal reported that Western officials warned Kiev that “Ukraine’s complete victory” would require massive resources that neither America nor Europe could provide.
In the meantime, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to give his “victory plan” to President Joe Biden during his visit to America.
He said that the success of this project directly depends on the approval and support of America.
Ukrainian commanders and politicians of this country have repeatedly considered the delay in sending weapons as the main cause of failures and failures in facing Russia.
Moscow has warned that no amount of Western aid can stop Russian troops from achieving their goals or change the outcome of the conflict.
