WhatsApp and Google Play filters have been removed

In today’s (Tuesday) session of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, after discussion and deliberation, the members, while emphasizing the importance of legal governance in cyberspace, unanimously voted in favor of removing restrictions on access to some widely used foreign platforms, including WhatsApp and Google Play.

Before this, filtering messengers and social networks had become a problem in the field of tourism.

Zarghami, the former Minister of Heritage and Tourism, had repeatedly called for the creation of a tourism SIM card with unfiltered internet for tourists, referring to this issue.
