The city of Bashet is the center of a city with the same name in the southwest of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces, which archaeologists attribute to the Achaemenid period. Therefore, the presence of historical monuments and ancient sights in this region from the south of the country is obvious, which is one of the reasons for attracting tourists to this land. “Bast” or “Besht” is the name recorded in Nasser Khosrow’s travelogue about this city. One of the characteristics of Bashet is its suitable weather at different times of the year, especially during Nowruz, when many travelers travel to this southern city every year during these refreshing days.
1. Two two-legged graves

Among the sightseeing places of Kohgioleh and Boyer Ahmad in Bashet city, we can mention two stone pillars belonging to the Sasanian era, which are known as “two graves with two legs”. This unique and interesting historical work is located at a short distance from two villages called “Shush” and “Deh Kand”, seven kilometers from Basht city and on the road from Gachsaran to Baba Maidan. Unfortunately, no significant information has been obtained about this ancient Iranian heritage, but according to the statements of some experts, these columns are placed at a distance of half a meter from each other and are made of limestone, milky in color and carved in the same way.

They believe that these two mills were probably used as fire pits and were a means of guiding caravans and travelers who lost their way at night. It is interesting to know that after the first explorations of these two ancient mills, it seems that their space and general shape are somewhat similar to the stone columns of Mehri and Mithraism temples, like the columns of Khorhe Mahalat temple.
2. Prim Historical Bridge (Perin)

On the transportation route from Khuzestan province to Fars, there is another historical attraction of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province, which is known as “Perin Bridge”. “Prim” is another name for this valuable historical structure, which was built eight kilometers east of Bashet city and near Cham Bulbul village on the “Prim” river. Today, you can see parts of this old bridge that has been used since its establishment until the Islamic era. A work that has been restored and repaired with the efforts of the provincial authorities and has been registered as a national heritage. This area of Bashet has become one of the popular tourist spots due to the existence of the bridge and the presence of Cheshme Anjiri resort which is located nearby.

In fact, Shah Bahram is the name of a mountain village that was considered one of the villages of Khomera Khami Bakhsh before Basht became a city. What attracts the attention of many tourists and travelers when they visit this village is the pristine, wonderful and very beautiful nature of this area, which has turned it into one of the most beautiful recreational and sightseeing spots in Bashet city.
It is interesting to know that some old locals believe that there were nearly forty Imamzadeh courts in this village, of which only a few tombs remain today. This area is located on the road from Bashet to Cheram and Dehdasht and surrounded from four directions by the five villages of Fatah, Shadgan, Lar, Cheram and Nimdor, it benefits from an eye-catching landscape with a cover of diverse and beautiful plants. Also, the pleasant weather and the presence of a permanent river have made the presence of tourists and travelers more prominent in this area.
7. Historical collection of Khan Ahmad Bast
Among the other tourist attractions of Bashet, there is a historical collection located 20 kilometers from this city and known as “Khan Ahmed Collection”. Tourists can see a historical site located on the main road and in the vicinity of Zirdo Khan Ahmad village.

According to the construction of this old building, the remaining architectural works in this area as well as the pottery discovered in it, archaeologists believe that an ancient city existed in this area in the Islamic Middle Ages.

One of the oldest tourist attractions in Bashet city is an old tree called “Basht cypress tree”. Historians believe that this old tree, with a length of 40 meters and a width of 7 meters, has lived for more than 2700 years and has become one of the interesting and famous sights of Bashet city. This tree is 35 kilometers west and is located in the historical village of Lar.

This fire temple, which is known as the Lar dome, is a cemetery left over from ancient Iran and houses the blessed mausoleum of Imamzadeh Seyyed Muhammad (pbuh), one of the most popular tourist areas in the region. 10. Ashkeft Shah Pichab

Ashkeft region is one of the most interesting historical sites in Iran. In this area, there is a cave that contains works such as several inscriptions and stone writings. A collection that requires archeological excavations and numerous researches to access comprehensive and detailed information about the age and background of each of them. This Ashkeft (cave) is located in the Pichab cold region and along the Zagros mountain range. But what attracts the attention of every visitor when he is in this attractive area is the presence of a very beautiful and roaring river called “Sor” or “Shor” which originates from the top of the threshold and has created a beautiful and exemplary landscape.
