Witcaf’s journey to Moscow is diplomacy
A spokesman for the Kremlin called the US President’s visit to Moscow “diplomacy” and said Russia should be vigilant and ready.
US President Steve Witekaf arrived in Moscow on Friday to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and hours ago Russian reporters announced that the convoy carrying the Kremlin had left the Kremlin.
According to Ryanovast News agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a prominent Russian reporter Paul Zarubin: “Wittkaf’s trip to Moscow is diplomacy because he also transferred the words of President Trump to the Russian president and President Putin.
“This type of diplomacy is part of the US mediation efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis,” he said.
Ukraine’s peace talks are still in a state of uncertainty, and Ukraine’s President Walodimir Zelksky is not willing to accept US conditions for peace, while insisting that it will not outsource its territories to Russia.
While Russian President Yuri Oshakov, referring to the meeting of Vladimir Putin and Steve Witekaf in Moscow, said: “The meeting between President Putin and Witekaf took three hours and it was also useful and productive.”
Peskov also emphasized in another part of his remarks: “Despite the constant peace talks about the situation in Ukraine, Russia must be alert and ready.”
