Samsung finally released the One UI 7 beta today. The company recently announced that the launch of its new user interface will be significantly delayed.
The main focus of this beta version is on new artificial intelligence features that take the user experience to a higher level. Writing aids, one such feature, allow users to easily write, format, and edit their texts. In addition, the AI assistant is able to summarize texts, correct spelling and grammar errors, and organize notes into neat lists.
Another interesting AI feature in One UI 7 is call transcription. This feature allows users to transcribe their phone conversations into text, similar to what’s available on Google’s Pixel phones.
Samsung has also sought to simplify the user interface design. The Now bar gathers activities related to different apps like translator, music player, voice recorder and stopwatch in one place to simplify the device lock screen. With this change, users will quickly access the most important notifications and actions.
The lock screen and camera user interface have also undergone significant changes. Camera buttons and controls have been redesigned for easier access, and the viewfinder has been improved to provide better previews of photos and videos.
The One UI 7 beta program started today and will initially be available to Galaxy S24 series users in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, UK and US. Users can register to participate in this program through the Samsung Members program.
