Nubia has finally unveiled the Red Magic 9 Pro and Red Magic 9 Pro Plus, phones that have some of the best specs for a gaming phone to date. Both phones use the latest Snapdragon 8 generation 3 chip, slim design, shoulder keys and RGB cooling fans. These two models have the same basic hardware with differences in battery capacity, charging speed and RAM capacity.
Both Red Magic 9 Pro phones are equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED flat screen with a resolution of 1116 x 2480 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and their 16-megapixel selfie camera is embedded under the display. The displays have a maximum brightness of 1600 nits and there is a UD fingerprint sensor that doubles as a heart rate monitor.
Red Magic 9 Pro has 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512/256 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage, while 9 Pro Plus will be available with 24/16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. Both phones use an updated ICE 13 cooling system, which has an area of 10,182 mm2.
This cooling system is able to reduce the internal temperature of the phone up to 18 degrees and has a graphene layer under the screen and a larger air channel for better air flow. The fans inside the phones rotate at a speed of 22,000 rpm and have 30% better thermal conductivity.

Both Red Magic 9 Pro models have aluminum frames with completely flat glass back panels without camera protrusions. On the back panel, there is a 50-megapixel main camera with a Samsung GN5 sensor and OIS capability, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. In the software section, we see Red Magic OS 9.0 based on Android 14.
The main difference between these two phones is the battery capacity and their charging speed, so Red Magic 9 has a 6500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging, but the Pro Plus model has a smaller 5500 mAh battery with 165W fast charging support. . Both models support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and have a headphone jack and IR blaster.



Both new Nubia phones are available in black, transparent white and transparent black colors. The price of the Red Magic 9 Pro starts at 4,399 yuan ($620) for the base version of 8/256 GB, and the price of the 12/512 GB version reaches 5,399 yuan ($761).
In contrast, the price of the Pro Plus model starts at 5,499 yuan ($775) for the 256/16 GB version and goes up to 6,999 yuan ($987) for the 24 GB RAM and 1 TB version. The sale of these phones in China will begin on November 28, and their global price and availability will be announced later.
