Xiaomi has recently introduced the new HyperOS operating system, which is scheduled to reach users on October 31, 2023. One of the important features of HyperOS is its internal 32-bit application translator, which is better than the previous generation.
Today, Xiaomi released a statement confirming that HyperOS supports 32-bit app translation. The company claimed that although Xiaomi 14 only supports 64-bit architecture, users can seamlessly run 32-bit applications through a built-in 32-bit translation core on HyperOS.
Therefore, Xiaomi 13 will be able to run 32-bit applications natively through the small CPU core. However, Xiaomi 14 will run 32-bit apps on the big core via decoder. So even if the CPU does not support 32-bit, it is still compatible with 32-bit applications.
HyperOS is a new operating system developed by Xiaomi and replaces MIUI. The core of HyperOS consists of Linux and the Xiaomi Vela system. This operating system is designed to be lighter and smoother than MIUI and has better performance and battery life.
HyperOS’s built-in 32-bit application translator, called Tango, will allow 32-bit applications to run on 64-bit ARM processors, a significant improvement over the previous generation. Using Tango, users can run their favorite 32-bit applications on new Xiaomi devices.
Another feature of HyperOS is the possibility of more customizations and fewer pre-installed apps, which will provide a purer Android experience. Xiaomi’s new operating system is going to replace MIUI.
