America seeks to provide more security assistance to Ukraine
John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator of the White House National Security Council, announced on Friday that Washington is looking to provide more aid to Ukraine in the coming days.
According to RCO News Agency, Kirby told reporters: “You can expect us to announce more security assistance related to Ukraine in the coming days.”
On Monday, US President Joe Biden announced an aid package worth 2.5 billion dollars to Ukraine. The Secretary of the Treasury of the United States announced the aid of 3.4 billion dollars from the aid budget to Ukraine. The aid package will include a wide range of munitions, including for Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems and the Hawk Air Defense System, as well as Stinger missiles and 155mm and 105mm artillery shells.
The war in Ukraine started on February 24, 2022, and it has been more than two and a half years since the start of this war, and the biggest sponsor of Ukraine in this war is the United States of America. The United States, along with other NATO countries, has provided significant military and financial aid to Ukraine. These aids include weapons, military equipment and humanitarian support.
