According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Arabi TV channel, Abdullah Ali Al-Hiya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and the rotating chairman of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, and Jassim Mohammad Al-Badawi, the Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, traveled to Syria.

During this trip, Elihia and Al-Badawi met and consulted with Ahmed al-Shora alias Abu Mohammad Al-Julani, the head of the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, a high-ranking delegation will accompany the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait on this trip.

According to this statement, this meeting was conducted according to the instructions issued by the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and shows the adherence of the member states of this council to the basic principles that guarantee the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait also emphasized that this meeting carries the message of supporting the will of the Syrian people.
