Baku tightened visa rules for Russian citizens
The government of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced that it will reduce the duration of visa-free travel for Russian citizens to 90 days.
According to Isna, the temporary stay of Russian citizens in the Republic of Azerbaijan was reduced from 180 days to 90 days.
According to this decision, Russian citizens and people who have permanent residence in Russia and enter the Republic of Azerbaijan without the need for a visa, can stay in this country for a maximum of 90 days in a year.
According to “APA” News agency, this decision will be implemented on January 1, 2025.
Not long ago, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia announced that, based on a series of amendments to the laws, from January 1, 2025, the temporary stay of foreign citizens in Russia will be limited to a total of 90 days in one year.
Meanwhile, Baku has reduced the right of visa-free stay for Russian citizens to 90 days, which according to current laws, the allowed stay is 90 days in a 180-day period and 180 days in a year.
