Hebrew media: Netanyahu will probably not attend Trump’s inauguration ceremony
The Israeli media reported the possibility that the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime will not participate in the inauguration ceremony of the President-elect of the United States.
According to RCO News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not participate in the inauguration ceremony of US President-elect Donald Trump.
Yediot Aharnot newspaper stated that the main reason for this is that “the Americans have said that foreign leaders will not participate in this inauguration ceremony”.
Earlier, a source told CNN on Wednesday that Netanyahu plans to travel to America to attend Trump’s inauguration. The source also noted that the itinerary is not final.
The president-elect of the United States is scheduled to be sworn in for the second time as the 47th president of the country on January 20, 2025 (Bahman 1, 1403), a little more than a month from now.
Meanwhile, the News of Netanyahu’s absence from Trump’s inauguration ceremony is being published that Donald has personally invited some foreign leaders, including heads of countries that have had disputes with the United States of America in the recent past, to attend his inauguration ceremony.
According to CNN and the Associated Press, Trump has asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to attend his inauguration.
However, invitations to attend Trump’s inauguration in Washington have so far been mostly informal, and have sometimes been mentioned in passing during phone conversations about other issues, according to a source familiar with the matter.
According to the person, some of the invitations came through indirect channels, rather than direct invitations from one leader to another.
But Trump also prepared written invitations and asked his team to send them to foreign leaders, a source familiar with the matter said.
It should be noted that Netanyahu congratulated Trump on his victory in the November elections and wrote on his page on X social networks: “Dear Donald and Melania Trump, congratulations on the greatest comeback in history.”
Netanyahu was among the first to congratulate Trump on the unofficial results of the presidential election and called Trump’s victory a “great victory.”
Relations between Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden had become strained following the policies of Netanyahu’s cabinet and the Zionist regime’s war in Gaza.
Biden previously said that he was not surprised by Netanyahu’s calls to Trump in recent months.
