Ruthe: Zelensky should stop criticizing Schultz
The NATO Secretary General said the President of Ukraine should stop his “unfair criticism” of the German Chancellor.
According to RCO News Agency, although Germany is the second supplier of military aid to Ukraine after the United States, it is still delaying sending long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev.
In an interview with the German News agency “DPA”, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said: I have often told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he should stop criticizing German Chancellor Olaf Schultz.
NATO Secretary General added: “This action of Zelenskiy is unfair.”
“I have no problem with sending Taurus missiles to Ukraine, and there should be no restrictions against their use,” Rutte said, contradicting Schultz.
The NATO Secretary General added in the end: “In general, we know that such capabilities are very important for Ukraine, but at the same time, it does not depend on me what the allies should send to Ukraine.”
The German chancellor, who returned from a trip to Kiev last month, said his opposition to sending long-range weapons to Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory remains.
In response to the question of the German legislators, Schultz said that he does not want to provide training on working with the Taurus missile to the Ukrainian army, so that if the next German government intends to send these missiles to Kiev, the process of using these missiles will be facilitated.
