Erdogan: We will help Damascus in determining the structure of the government/ Fidan will soon go to Syria for consultation
In a press conference announcing the visit of the country’s foreign minister to Syria in the coming days to consult with the country’s transitional government, the Turkish president said that Ankara will help it determine the structure of the Syrian government.
According to RCO News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who recently met with his counterparts at the D8 summit held in Egypt, answered their questions about regional developments and said that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan The country is going to go to Syria soon.

The President of Türkiye said: I hope that the developments that will take place in the coming period will enable the voluntary return of our Syrian brothers to their homeland. Our brothers in Syria will decide their own future and we will help them in the structure of the government.
Pointing out that the life of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and its branches has ended, he said: By creating an atmosphere of trust in Syria, terrorist organizations will be prevented from providing aid to the militants.
The Turkish president also said that Ankara will do everything to ensure that the Assad government is held accountable in international courts for what he claims has been brutal treatment of its own people.
He added: We do not believe that any government in Syria can continue to cooperate with terrorist organizations. The main branches of terrorist organizations like ISIS and PKK will be destroyed in the shortest time.
Erdoğan said: The lifting of sanctions against the Syrian government will benefit the reconstruction of this country.
The Turkish president also said about the aggressive advances of the Zionist army in Syria after the fall of the Assad government: America and Western countries have a great responsibility to stop Israel. It should be said in the loudest voice that the occupation of Syrian lands is unacceptable.
He added: We will continue our business relations with Iraq and Syria. This will be a new move for Syria and Türkiye.
Referring to the path ahead of the Syrian transitional government to fight terrorism, Erdogan said: The new government has many needs in this field. We will not leave them alone on this path.
