The historical bank at the corner of Topkhaneh Square is the narrator of a part of the history of this square.
Tejarat Bank in the eastern corner of Tehran’s Topkhaneh Square is one of the oldest remaining buildings around the square. Many historical buildings have been located around Topkhaneh Square in Tehran, each of them was destroyed in one of the development periods of this square and replaced by other buildings.
The historical building of Tejarat Bank, which is also known as the Shahi Bank building, is one of the oldest current buildings around Topkhaneh Square; A building which, of course, replaced the building of the Qajar period. This photo shows a different state of the artillery field in the Pahlavi period.
The historical building of Tejarat Bank was built between 1306 and 1308 AH after the destruction of the Commercial Bank building and using the model of European banks.
