Interesting historical photos of Naser al-Din Shah’s women remain in the Golestan palace albums.
The historical albums of Golestan Palace album house are full of photos of Qajar period women. Many of these photos are related to the royal harem and there are pictures of the king’s women with their family and maids.
One particular photo of these albums shows a group of women indoors. In the explanation of the picture, next to the picture and probably written in Shah’s handwriting:
A group of women, at the foot of the stairs and in the old yard of Amin Aghdas and the maids, are sitting in a coffee house wearing mahram clothes…
In the description of the photo, it is stated that women are going to the ritual of fasting outside. The images left from the Qajar Period Endorni have a lot of information and value.
