If you’ve been waiting impatiently for the first foldable iPhone, Samsung is ending your wait with the idea of a foldable iPhone with adhesive tape and a Galaxy Z Fold 5 emulation!
The foldable iPhone is available now, using just two iPhones, some tape and a Samsung UI! In an effort to bring iPhone users the benefits of a foldable phone, the company has created a demo that lets you use two iPhones to experience a Galaxy Z Fold 5 simulation. This app allows you to emulate both individual displays.

The market is waiting for the foldable iPhone, but the iOS operating system is not ready for it yet
The Samsung Try Galaxy Things program started earlier this year, when Samsung first came up with the idea of letting iPhone users try out the Galaxy user interface by joining two foldable iPhones with duct tape.

To experience a foldable iPhone, you can simply visit the Try Galaxy website and install the app by saving it to your home screen. After doing this, the app will give you a Samsung Galaxy experience by simulating One UI 5.1, the Samsung skin on Android 13.
With this interface everything works pretty much like a Samsung device, but it’s noticeably slower, probably because it’s only run through a web app. Now with a cloned Galaxy Z Fold 5, Samsung has updated the app to allow the Z Fold 5 to be cloned with the web app on two iPhones placed side by side.
Samsung’s ‘Try Galaxy’ app update now uses two connected iPhones and simulates a Galaxy Z Fold display. It works by simply displaying half of the content shown on each device’s screen.
Snapping the two iPhones together reveals a larger unified display, offering a roughly similar size to the Galaxy Z Fold. You can try this experience by placing the iPhone 14 Pro Max next to the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
When the app is running on both phones, tap the Fold Experience button to make them act as one device. You can’t really do much, since this is a demo rather than a full device. But at least it’s visible that an app is spread across two screens.
It’s true that a foldable phone has a slim and thin design and doesn’t look like a foldable iPhone with tape, but it’s an idea that many users might want to try.
