Samsung’s mixed reality headset will have a design similar to Apple’s headset. According to the published pictures of this device, there are 4 cameras on its front for tracking.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, Samsung released details about its augmented reality headset at this year’s Unpacked ceremony. Like the Apple device, the XR headset can work with hand and eye tracking. A few months after Samsung’s event, new information about this headset has been released, through which you can learn about some of the technical specifications of this device.
It is not yet known who published the images related to this new Samsung headset. But the website UploadVR posted the leaked photos on its site. These photos are related to the initial models of this headset and it cannot be said 100% that the final design of the Samsung headset will be the same.
The specifications of the Samsung XR headset include the use of the Exynos 2200 processor and the use of four cameras on the front to track hand and head movements. Pancake lenses are also used in this headset like similar devices. Another feature of this headset is the Passthrough feature, where you can still see the surrounding environment after placing the headset on your head.
Another feature of this device is the absence of a physical controller. In this way, the user must use hand and head movements to interact with the user environment. The leaked images are probably related to the pre-production stage of the headset and the final version may differ from what is shown in the leaked images.
