Elon Musk has predicted that artificial intelligence and robots will eventually replace all jobs and work will become optional.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has once again made one of his news-making predictions about the future. The CEO of the technology world said in a post on X that artificial intelligence and robots will take the place of all jobs and work will become something that people do out of desire and choice, not out of necessity.

Elon Musk wrote in X: “Artificial intelligence and robots will replace all jobs. “Working becomes optional, like someone wanting to grow their own vegetables instead of buying them at the store.”

This prediction of Elon Musk comes after the New York Times reported that Amazon plans to replace at least 600,000 jobs in the United States with robots by 2033, thereby saving more than $12 billion a year. Amazon will also use AI-based systems to perform tasks such as packaging and delivery.

Amazon’s automation team expects to eliminate at least 160,000 jobs in the US by 2027, and this figure will reach more than 600,000 by 2033. This is while this retail giant expects its sales in the American market to more than double by then.

It is said that Amazon’s robotics division plans to automate up to 75% of its operations in large warehouses. Amazon claims this will increase productivity and cut costs, but critics have warned that the process could lead to the destruction of workers’ jobs.

But Elon Musk apparently believes that expanding the use of robots and artificial intelligence can give humans more opportunities for leisure, innovation and fun.
