Access to the Grok chatbot has been released for special X users

The X social network started making the Grok chatbot available to its special users some time after Elon Musk announced public access to the Grok chatbot.

Initial access is for users who paid $16 per month. These users were in the Premium+ category. But with the latest update, this access is provided to Premium users who pay only $8 per month.

Grok chatbot has two modes, normal or fun. Users can chat with this chatbot in both modes. Grok chatbot, like other chatbots, has the ability to summarize popular news and trends.

Elon Musk is looking to compete with JPT Chat and Google Gemini. He is seeking to attract one billion dollars of capital for this company and has previously criticized OpenAI and even started legal action against this company for betraying its non-profit activity.

In the past, xAI has open-sourced the Grok chatbot and made its code available to everyone. Although it is not clear whether the open source version is the last version of this chatbot or not?
