Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in an interview: “Moscow will change its nuclear doctrine based on the analysis of recent conflicts and the West’s actions towards its “special military operations” (in Ukraine).
In an interview with Tass News agency, Ryabkov said: “As we have said many times before, things are at an advanced stage and there is a clear intention to reform (the Russian nuclear doctrine) based on the analysis and review of developments related to recent conflicts.” And, of course, the analysis of the procedure of the western competitors to intensify the tensions regarding the special military operations of the Russian army in Ukraine should be introduced.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously announced that the country’s nuclear doctrine is a dynamic and living document that can be modified and changed if necessary.
The Russian president also emphasized that Moscow’s assumption is that a nuclear conflict will never happen.
