Elon Musk has fulfilled his previous promise to pay users and now users of Twitter Blue, now called X Premium, can take advantage of it.
Of course, only users who qualify can receive this money, that is, they must have 15 million impressions in the last three months and pay at least $50. Of course, it is not yet clear what the exact criteria of the payments will be. However, Musk has said that payments will not be based solely on impressions, but on the number of ads that are shown to other verified users.
The Washington Post reported that Musk initially made these payments to right-wing influencers. Other X users also seem to be happy with X’s (Twitter) ad revenue sharing.
Of course, Musk has recently reduced the eligibility requirements and now those X Premium users who have 5 million impressions in the last three months and at least 500 followers can participate in this program by paying at least $10.
Although the scale of payments is still unclear, it seems that these payments will be tempting for many users. So you may see a dramatic increase in quick tweets that are done just for the sake of getting paid.
These types of tweets are just a kind of bait so that more people are attracted to them and the impression of the tweets increases. In any case, we have to wait and see what effect this feature will have on the general atmosphere of Twitter.
