Until a few days ago, the Nintendo store in New York’s Rockefeller Center hosted a copy of the Game Boy handheld console, which the store claims was damaged in one of the bombings of the Persian Gulf War. Now, VideoGameArt&Tidbits has reported that this device has been moved to Nintendo’s main office in Washington, citing one of the store’s employees.
The previous owner of the aforementioned Game Boy was a person named Stephen Scoggins, who replaced this console with another version in 1990. Scoggins had claimed that he was in the Middle East during the Persian Gulf War and that his handheld console was burned. However, Nintendo claims that this device was damaged in the bombing.
