Along with Surface computers, Microsoft unveiled tools based on artificial intelligence to convert text into images. These tools use the same artificial intelligence technology used in the famous DALL-E 2 system.
One of the tools is called Microsoft Designer, which is added to the office software suite. Like other similar artificial intelligence systems, using this tool, users can write a phrase and then images are created based on the written text. This tool will be added to Microsoft Edge along with the Office suite, which is supposed to be used to make social media posts more attractive.
We should also mention the addition of the Image Creator tool to the Bing search engine, which also uses the same artificial intelligence system as Designer. It is not yet clear when these tools will be available to the general public, and Microsoft is currently reviewing them to fix their problems before they are available to all users.
Over the past months, tools like DALL-E 2 have been making a lot of noise, and users can create multiple images with AI for a fee. Although these tools are paid, we should mention the completely free Stable Diffusion system, which runs internally on users’ computers and is improving at an amazing speed due to its open source code. The speed of development of these types of artificial intelligence systems is much higher than expected and it seems that soon some artists will face serious challenges to find a job.
