Five new functions were introduced for Android

Google has introduced four new features for smartphones and one new feature for Android smartwatches.

The first related innovation is the TalkBack program. The Android screen reader will now use Gemini AI models to provide detailed audio descriptions of images.

The next item is the improvement of the Circle to Search feature, which we have discussed many times before. This feature is now able to detect what music is playing near you or on your phone.

The third innovation is related to the ability to read pages in Google Chrome. Users can choose the listening speed, like a podcast, as well as the audio type and language.

Google has also added support for the Android earthquake warning system for all US states and has made it possible to use Google Maps offline on WearOS smartwatches.
