Recently, James Webb recorded an image of distant galaxies in which about 45,000 galaxies can be seen in detail. 700 thousand of these galaxies have been discovered recently. Also among them there are very old galaxies discovered.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, the galaxies discovered in James Webb’s recent image can provide information about the secrets of the beginning of the universe. This image is related to a very important part of the sky called GOODS. Also, astronomers usually refer to this region of the sky for a better understanding of the stages of the formation of the universe.
Observations had been made in this area many times before. But now the James Webb telescope has been able to show the unseen stars of this region in more detail. Kevin Heinlein, from the University of Arizona, said of the Web image: “Before this, early galaxies all looked like bright spots.” But now we are able to see galaxies as extended objects.
James Webb managed to discover 700 new galaxies in this region. Some others are also considered to be old observed galaxies. These old galaxies have a lifetime of 370 to 650 million years before the Big Bang.
The Space Telescope Science Institute said in a statement about this: The number of observed galaxies is much higher than the predictions of astronomers before the James Webb launch. Also, the study of scientists on newly discovered galaxies shows that their number at the beginning of the universe is much higher than previously thought. Focusing on the light signatures of these galaxies reveals strong light lines that are the star formation of current epochs.
