According to RCO News Agency, citing Al-Nashrah, UN experts strongly warned about the risk of widespread violence against civilians in South Sudan.
A team of independent United Nations experts warned on Sunday of the risk of “massive violence against civilians” in South Sudan, where renewed fighting in the south has displaced more than 180,000 people.
In a statement, the Human Rights Committee of South Sudan expressed its “deep concern” about the situation in the province of Junglee in South Sudan.
Since the end of December, this area has witnessed a conflict between the forces of South Sudanese President Salva Kiir and the forces of his former deputy, Riek Machar.
