A source in Anbar province said that the first office of the Ba’athist Party in Erbil had been opened in Iraqi Kurdistan, according to Mehr News Agency.

He added that the rulers of the Iraqi Kurdistan have allowed the leaders of the Ba’athist Party to open their first office in Erbil with the support of the US and Türkiye.

The source said: “This is the first step after Jordan’s agreement to resume the activities of the Ba’athist Party in the country.”

He said the Ba’ath party’s leaders have gone from Jordan to Erbil and are trying to rebuild the ranks of the curly party and to establish its offices in northern Iraq. This move is completely confidential.
