According to recent reports, Apple has decided to stop selling some of its products, including the iPhone 14, in this region in order to comply with the new European Union rules requiring the use of the USB-C port in all smartphones.
Starting December 28, 2024, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone SE models will be removed from Apple’s online and physical stores in the European Union. The sellers of this company will only be allowed to sell these products until the end of their current inventory.
It should be noted that this decision was taken in line with the implementation of the European Union’s regulations on the unification of charging ports for electronic devices.
In addition to the aforementioned iPhones, other Apple products that use the Lightning port, such as the Magic Keyboard without a fingerprint sensor, will also be removed from the European market. Interestingly, this decision even includes Northern Ireland, although this area is considered part of the United Kingdom.
According to Apple’s usual plans, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models were expected to be removed from the EU markets by September next year. On the other hand, due to the upcoming release of the new iPhone SE model, stopping the sale of the current model will not have much effect on the market.
