The Japanese Toyota Landcruiser, nicknamed Hazrat, has finally gone electric. The Toyota Land Cruiser SE is an off-road electric concept car that could usher in a new era for the beloved Land Cruiser series.
After a hiatus of several years, Toyota’s iconic off-road vehicle, the Toyota Land Cruiser, has finally been revived in the US market. Before the LC 250 series even hits Toyota dealerships, the Japanese automaker has now unveiled the Land Cruiser SE Concept, giving us a glimpse of what the first electric Land Cruiser will look like.
Toyota Land Cruiser SE concept features
When it comes to concept cars, there are usually not many details, and this is also the case with the Land Cruiser SE. However, Toyota has released some interesting information along with several digital renderings of this product. For example, we now know that the Land Cruiser SE is 5.15 meters long, 1.98 meters wide, and 1.70 meters high, and its front and rear axles are 3.05 meters apart. Therefore, the distance between its axles has increased by almost 20 cm compared to the new production model of Land Cruiser.
Toyota has announced that this car will have three rows of seats with a capacity of seven passengers. So far, there is no mention of the engines used for this model, but it is said that drivers can experience high torque driving with this car. However, there is no doubt that for this car, the driving forces consisting of dual electric motors are used, the production power of which is transferred to all four wheels of the car. It seems that the electric model of Land Cruiser will finally have the same beloved and well-known features of this series. The Land Cruiser SE certainly won’t be limited to traveling on smooth, paved roads, and Toyota’s press release also mentions the phrase “confidence to deal with rough terrain” indicating its off-road capabilities.
Other than that, there is no other information about the Toyota Landcruiser SE concept; But according to the images and renderings that have been published so far, the box-shaped body of this car is undeniably attractive, beautiful and impressive. Surprisingly, this concept car bears little resemblance to its production counterparts, and we might not even be able to tell that this car belongs to the big Toyota company if it weren’t for the Toyota name and logo on the nose and above the narrow strip of taillights.
