Lebanese President Joseph Aoun today met with US Deputy Special Representative of the Middle East Middle East at the Lebanese Presidential Palace Morgan Ortegas: The realization of permanent stability in the south. Lebanon is related to the completion of Israel’s withdrawal from these areas.

He added: “Stability and peace will only be achieved by Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon and the implementation of all clauses of the UN Security Council Resolution.”

He added that the Lebanese army is ready to be established in the villages that Israeli army forces retreat, but Israel’s departure from southern Lebanon must be completed by February 5.

He added that cooperation with international forces to implement a resolution with the aim of establishing stability is continuing constructively. Israel’s release of Lebanese captives, of course, is an integral part of the November 6 agreement and must be implemented.

In contrast, Trump’s Special Representative Ortegas said that the United States is committed to February 7 as the date of Israeli forces withdrawal from Lebanon.

After meeting with the new Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the Ba’bda Palace, he appeared in the media and said in a provocative stance on Lebanon’s soil, “Israel defeated Hezbollah and we are appreciated for it!”

“We emphasize the lack of Hezbollah’s involvement in the new Lebanese government in any way!”
