Orban: Putin is our honest partner and Netanyahu is our good friend
While calling the President of Russia “a sincere partner” and the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime “a good friend of Hungary”, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that Budapest is willing to develop its relations with Moscow.
According to Isna, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in an interview with Magyar Nemzet newspaper that maintaining balance in relations with other governments is not an easy task.
Orban also said: “Foreign policy of a logical country is to find friends.” Let there be as many countries in the world as possible to invest in the success of the Hungarian people. The president-elect of America supports Hungary. The President of China has also visited 2 European Union countries, France and Hungary. The president of Türkiye is our friend, the president of Russia is our honest partner, and the prime minister of Israel is our good friend. “I doubt that such a situation has prevailed in the history of Hungarian diplomacy.”
The Prime Minister of Hungary emphasized: “Maintaining balance in relations with other countries is not an easy task. “Also, the motivation we have for finding our friends is that all Hungarians get a tangible benefit.”
“Hungary will receive significant investment from the United States,” he said regarding the new administration of President-elect Donald Trump. In addition, Trump has promised to deal with the war in Ukraine, and this promise will probably be fulfilled in 2025.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, Orban added: “Hungary has endured three years of war in the neighboring country. The war in Ukraine has affected everyone, including the economy of the countries. “It is a good achievement that Hungary has not retreated from its position and its situation is now different compared to most European countries.”
Hungary, unlike many EU member states, has rejected sending any lethal weapons to Ukraine and is focused on a peaceful solution to the conflict. This country has also repeatedly criticized the European Union’s sanctions against Russia, and its prime minister has described the said sanctions and restrictions as a “failure” that only worsens the energy crisis.
