Dr. Hun Pak, vice president and head of the Samsung Mobile Experience Digital Health Team, has published a note on the capacities of artificial intelligence in the digital health industry.
The senior deputy and head of the Digital Health Team, Samsung Electronics, has published a note on the use of artificial intelligence and the capacity of the technology in the digital health world. This note has been published on the official website of the Samsung News Room and you can now read its full translation. Dr. Hun Pak wrote in this note, referring to the capacities of artificial intelligence in the digital health industry:
I have more than 25 years of experience in the field of medicine and now I work as the head of the Samsung Digital Health Team and spend a lot of time reflect on how technology can make tangible health progress and not simply a dramatic innovation? That’s why I have a lot of hope and interest in artificial intelligence; Because this technology, by facilitating complex issues over a wide range, offers new ways to solve many of the community’s health problems.
In Samsung, we used advanced artificial intelligence algorithms and extensive technical expertise, and developed solutions like Energy Score. This feature is capable of measuring physical and mental energy levels through various health indicators, including sleep, heart health and physical activity. In fact, our outlook involves adding more comprehensive criteria such as nutrition, mental health and mobile use patterns to provide a more complete view of users’ health by utilizing artificial intelligence power.
Artificial intelligence has great potential for early prevention of diseases, and thus it can analyze patterns and behaviors, detect anomalies, and even predict potential health problems. By combining our old innovations in the field of sensors and pioneering artificial intelligence, we intend to improve our abilities to prevent disease. Our goal in this section is to go beyond diseases such as sleep apnea and extend this ability to metabolic diseases related to cardiovascular. In particular, blood sugar is an important focus for us.
Samsung is working on the development of an algorithm that can predict the early symptoms of diabetes. These efforts include the development of non-invasive or non-invasive blood sugar monitoring technology as well as an integrated program for coaching nutrition and continuous blood sugar monitoring.
Our goal in Samsung is to support preventive health management and reduce the health concerns and challenges of individuals, families and communities. I deeply believe that artificial intelligence can transform the digital health industry and make it easier for everyone to reach health. Samsung, as a global technology leader, with its advanced technologies and innovations, as well as the use of a growing network of partners, has a unique place to turn this prospect.
