According to the Mehr news agency, citing Reuters news agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced his telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Schultz about the latest developments in the Kiev crisis.

President Zelenskiy said he briefed German Chancellor Olaf Schulz on Saturday about the battlefield situation following Kiev’s invasion of Russia’s Kursk region and that they discussed the need for air defense and armored vehicles.

The spokesman of the German government said in a statement that Schultz reiterated Berlin’s “continuous and unwavering cooperation” with Kyiv.
