The second annual conference on the experience of artificial ielligence in industry was held by Mofid Agency on Thursday, July 1st, in the conference hall of the National Library of Iran, National Library of Iran.
This eve was held with the aim of exchanging ideas between experts and activists in the field of artificial ielligence, machine learning and data science in various scieific and industrial fields. In this eve, artificial ielligence academic and industrial researchers, industrial managers of this field, and experts and consumers of artificial ielligence in the industry were invited as speakers.
The eve was held in several main sections. Lectures were preseed by experts and activists in this field. A panel was also held with the presence of experts on artificial ielligence and its future with the performance of Mr. Siavash Safarianpour.
The first part of this conference, with two speeches by Mr. Kianoosh Mokhtarian, technical director of Yektan and former technical leader of Google, about the methods of implemeing newer models of artificial ielligence in companies and Mr. Sohail Moghadam, vice preside of Digikala technology, about Digikala’s experiences in the developme and use of Artificial ielligence was held.
Mr. Kianoush Mokhtarian spoke about the importance of specific procedures for updating artificial ielligence models, testing models and corolling possible damages from the implemeation of these models.
Sohail Moghadam also talked about the importance of data collection and data manageme in the organization as a prerequisite for the use of artificial ielligence and further, the use of experiences outside the organization to improve the knowledge and culture of the organization in the field of artificial ielligence and the requireme to maiain the organization’s forces for a long time. .
The second part of the conference was held with a speech by Mrs. Zainab Barzegar, a member of the faculty of Iran University of Medical Sciences, about the use of artificial ielligence in advanced surgical and medical tools, and Mr. Hamidreza Vaezi, a senior meta data scieist, about the developmes and functions of machine vision.
Ms. Barzegar talked about the complexities of developing and obtaining licenses for medical products using new methods such as artificial ielligence and marketing for these products. Mr. Vaezi also talked about the history of the developme of machine vision in the industry, its initial applications and his personal experience as one of the researchers prese in the initial teams developing these products in differe companies.
The third part started with the speech of Mr. Ali Zarezadeh, the leader of the data and artificial ielligence team of Mofid Brokerage, about large linguistic models and its impact on the industry. they paid.
In the following, a panel was held with the presence of “Mohammed Hossein Rehban, a member of the academic staff of Sharif University of Technology, Mohammad Shakohi Yakta, a Microsoft data scieist, Sohail Moghadam, Zainab Barzegar and Ali Zarezadeh on the uses and benefits of artificial ielligence, especially Generative AI and its dangers. . The panellists of the conference all believed in the possibility of widespread changes through artificial ielligence, but there was no consensus on its dimensions and its positive and negative effects.
The final part of the conference started with Ms. Arzo Keshavarz, Google’s artificial ielligence leader, about the applications of data analysis in industry, especially in search engines and manufacturing industries (with a focus on the supply chain).
He emphasized on the serious use of artificial ielligence to make an unpredictable environme predictable and believed that these models can be very useful in Iran.
The final lecture was also given by a researcher from JP Morgan in the field of functions of graph databases and large language models. He talked about his experience in using these models and techniques to collect diverse data about companies and individuals and aggregating all this data together and using big language models to clean this data.
The final part of the conference was accompanied by Mr. Safarianpour’s performance and meion of an importa poi about artificial ielligence. Many of the curre functions of artificial ielligence do not fully incorporate the ethics and philosophy of using these tools.
He reminded the audience of the importance of paying atteion to these two pois by meioning an example from literature and cinema: the story of artificial ielligence HAL 9000 from the story of Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clark. The importance of paying atteion to the darker side of artificial ielligence and the uniended consequences of using these systems in everyday life is something that professionals and legislators should all pay atteion to.
