The Minister of Cultural Heritage answered some doubts regarding the excavations in Niavaran Palace.
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts regarding the excavations of Niavaran Palace has claimed that the report of the excavations will be made known to the people.
Ezzatullah Zarghami, in the group of journalists following the pictures that showed excavations in the Niavaran Palace in cyberspace, said:
Exploration is one of the inherent duties of this ministry. Exploration with the aim of discovering historical objects and valuable ancient burials is one of our duties. The report of these explorations will also be made known to the public.
He added:
If we have good credits, there should be more archaeological excavations. Usually, based on the reports that we receive and the research that is done, if we come to the conclusion that there is a historical object or a burial somewhere, according to the protocols of the ministry, a team of researchers and the unit Protection of cultural heritage and the manager of that complex, like Niavaran, are present at the site, and in a joint planning, a preliminary survey is done for verification, and after that, if it is true, the next steps are taken.
