The Planning Office of Import and Export Regulations of the Ministry of Security recently announced in a letter new executive rules for the used car import budget law, according to which there is no need for standard and environmental approval for the import of used cars.

It became easier to import used cars

According to the Executive Regulations, Paragraph P, Note 7 of the Budget Law of 1402, it is possible to order new and used imported cars (less than 5 years old), and to order and import second-hand cars, approval must be obtained from the National Standards Organization, the Environmental Organization, and the Material Commission. 1 Trade Development Organization will not need to receive; But new cars must receive all these approvals.

In this regulation, it is emphasized that the service network after the sale of goods that are registered according to this paragraph must be approved by the Ministry of Privacy. In addition, the municipality has assumed the task of reviewing and issuing technical permits in the field of intra-city vehicles, and the road organization will be responsible for extra-urban vehicles as well.

In this regulation, it is stated that until further notice, importers must carry out the process of providing currency for importing cars; In fact, they should use their export currency or other people’s export currency for imports.

Also, two new fields with warehouse receipts before and after 1402 have been considered for the included tariff codes, which will be exempted from the rating ceiling review before 1402, but 1402 and after will be subject to the rating ceiling review. It should be noted that importers cannot register an order with two fields before and after 1402 in the same file, and Iranian customs has also taken on the task of checking the date of invoices.
