Honda Fit 2026; Facelift hatchback cheap and low consumption was introduced in China

The two GEC-Honda companies in a joint collaboration unveiled the Honda Fit 2026 facelift version at a cheap price. What are the specifications of this hatchback?

Many car manufacturers operate in Japan, one of its top brands is Honda. This automotive group, which has been working with big names such as Toyota, Nissan and Mazda for many years, has recently unveiled the Facelift Fit version for the Beijing market. The new version of the Fit has a different design than before in the front and is distinguished from other members of its family.

Honda Fit 2026

Honda Fit subcompact hatchback, the 2026 version of which is now on its way to the Chinese market, has an affordable price tag and limited circulation, and only 3,000 units will be released. The fourth generation Fit was introduced to the market in 2019, but in 2022, a facelift was launched and since it could not experience good sales in the American market, it was limited to the Chinese market.

Appearance design

This Japanese hatchback is now on the production line by the Gecko-Honda joint venture, and one of its most important appearance elements is the narrow, two-piece LED lights next to the new grille. We see a well-cut bumper in this part, which has wide air intakes. In general, the design of this part is more similar to Toyota cars than Honda products.

The side profile and rear view have not changed compared to before. Honda Fit 2026 has entered the market in only one version and is equipped with 15-inch rims and three colors of yellow, blue and white. Fit has a length of 4169 mm and the distance between its two axles is the same as the previous number of 2530 mm.

Cabin space

The interior of Honda Fit 2026 is designed with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 7-inch digital cluster. Unfortunately, there is no news of high-level amenities and simplicity is considered one of the characteristic features of the cabin. Also, advanced driver assistance systems or magic seats, which are usually found in some Honda products, are not considered for the Fit.

Technical forces

In the chest of the new Honda Fit is a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine that can transmit 122 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque to the front wheels through a CVT gearbox in ideal conditions. According to Honda’s claim, with a full tank of gasoline, you can drive more than 700 km with this hatchback.

To attract customers, Honda has used the formula of lifetime warranty of engine and gearbox. Unfortunately, it is not clear whether the set of new changes of this car is only for the Chinese market or Europeans are also going to benefit from it. The Fit’s biggest selling point is its $9,600 price tag, which dwarfs rivals like the BYD Segal and Walling Bingo.

Despite the cheap price of this hatchback for the Chinese market, its sales have even reached zero in recent months, and for this reason, the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture has tried to encourage customers to buy it with a discount of $4,500. It has to be seen whether this car, which has sold 9 million units worldwide, will repeat its past success or not.
