The high-performance N version of the Hyundai Ionic 5 electric crossover was introduced. This car can produce 600 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 100 in 3.5 seconds.
Hyundai has officially unveiled the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Edition during the annual Goodwood Festival. The N version of this electric crossover is the first high-performance electrified car from Hyundai’s N series, and the Korean automaker will release more cars from this series with electric propulsion in the future.
Introducing Hyundai Ioniq 5 N version
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N version is first of all with increased dimensions. This version is 40 mm wider and 80 mm longer, and its floor is 20 mm closer to the ground. On the exterior of this Hyundai product, as expected, the orange trim for the N version can be seen on the front bumper, diffuser, and side view, as well as aerodynamic elements such as a lower front spoiler, active flaps, and an air curtain. Also, this version of the Ioniq 5 rides on 21-inch forged aluminum wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires.
In the cabin of this Korean electric crossover, you can see a new steering wheel with the N logo on it; Previously, there was no exclusive logo on the steering wheel in the N versions. The steering wheel includes 4 buttons: one for driving mode selection, another for N Grin Boost and 2 N Custom buttons. Drivers have the possibility to set the desired driving modes for each of these 2 N Custom buttons. E-shift pedals and N Pedal feature are placed behind the steering wheel.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N version is powered by 2 electric motors with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system capable of producing 600 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. Of course, there is a possibility that before the production of this car, there will be a slight change in its output. With N Grin Boost, which takes 10 seconds, the power of this electric crossover even reaches 641 hp and its torque reaches 770 Nm.
The Ionic 5 N is powered by an 84kWh battery that features 800V ultra-fast charging technology. Relying on this technology, this electric crossover can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. This car has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, and with the same N Grin Boost feature, it can reach the desired speed 1 second earlier. In addition, its maximum speed is 260 km/h.
