Ferrari unveiled its new supercar called the KC23. The track-only Ferrari KC23 was developed based on the Ferrari 488 GT3 and equipped with butterfly doors and design elements from the 499P hypercar and the Vision Gran Turismo. In the following, we will get to know the specifications of this one-of-a-kind car.
Ferrari KC23 specs
With changes such as active aerodynamics, Ferrari has been able to turn the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo into a supercar. For this car, the side panels of the movable body have been considered. Also, instead of the racing body cover, this supercar uses Mercury Gold color, which has an appearance similar to aluminum.
Ferrari has used side cameras instead of traditional mirrors for this supercar with the aim of increasing the field of vision and improving aerodynamics. This car uses 18-inch rims with sticky tires as standard; But it is possible to order 21-inch rims in the front and 22-inch rims in the back. This car, which has been developed over a period of 3 years, is designed only for the track.
Although the Ferrari KC23 will only be produced in one unit, Ferrari announced that it will use the design of this car for its next products. Designers in the cabin also removed unnecessary features found in the 488 GT3 model. Of course, the two sports seats and different buttons of the original model can still be seen in this car. Other features of this section include a full roll cage and steering wheel with 16 controls similar to racing cars.
It is currently unclear whether the Ferrari KC23 will use the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the 488 GT3 racing model; But this engine can produce 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque in standard mode. This car will soon be present at the Goodwood Speed Festival.
