By adding a temporary chat feature to its app, Google has made it possible for users to chat without storing history.
Google finally released a temporary chat capability for the Jammeh app after the initial announcement. This new feature allows users to talk to this artificial intelligence without worrying about storing conversations in their account history; The feature we’ve seen before at ChatGpt and now has reached its main competitor.
To use this new mode, simply open the side panel in the web version or mobile app. In this section, a new circular icon (in the form of a bubble bubble) is located right next to the new chat option. By selecting this option, you will enter the temporary chat mode and there will be no more common welcome message.
How does a temporary chat capability work?
When you enter this, Google explains that temporary chats are not displayed in the recent talks or history of jammy activities. Also, these conversations will not be used to teach artificial intelligence models or customize your user experience. Of course, Google stores these chats for 4 hours to maintain the security of the service and then completely delete it.
After logging into a temporary conversation, the ask in a temporary chat is displayed in the input bar and at the top of the screen (next to the model selection). The important thing is that after leaving this conversation, you will no longer have access to it and the conversation will be out of reach forever.
What are the limitations of temporary chat mode?
The use of temporary chat capability is also accompanied by limitations. In this case you can’t use gems. Also, applications and services that require history settings are not available. Receiving personalized answers, storing information for further use, and providing feedback on answers are also inactive.
Currently, this feature is only activated to users with personal accounts and is not available for work or academic accounts. This feature can now be used on Android, iOS and web version.
