It will be possible to delete Trades account separately from Instagram soon

Currently, it is not possible to delete the Threads account, except by deleting the Instagram account connected to it; But this could change in the future.

Recently, Meta released the Threads app to compete with Twitter, and millions of users signed up for it through Instagram. But very soon, they realized that it is not possible to delete the Trades account individually, they can only deactivate it. Deleting the Threads username is equivalent to deleting the Instagram account and deleting everything in it.

In response to this issue, Instagram manager Adam Mossari announced that Meta is aware of such a problem and is fixing it. He suggested users who want to delete their Trades account to deactivate it for now. With this, the profile and content published by the user will be hidden from comments, and there is also a private option.

Threads allows users to post text-based messages, videos, GIFs, and repost Instagram posts; But it is still not rich in terms of features. Moussari also said that features such as stronger search capabilities, viewing hashtags, new tabs, and editing tools for videos and photos will soon be added to Threads.

Another problem with this new social network is the lack of compliance with the European Union’s data protection laws (GDPR), which has made it impossible for many Europeans to access it without a VPN.
