Volkswagen recently introduced the facelifted version of the 2024 T-Cross, its smallest SUV. With these changes, T-Cross is more ready to compete with other subcompact crossovers in the market.
Introducing Volkswagen T-Cross model 2024 facelift
Exterior design
In the front view of the new Volkswagen T-Cross, an LED strip is stretched from one corner to the other corner of the grille instead of the previous chrome line. This strip connects to the headlights, which have IQ.Light technology. The design of the bumper is more in harmony with the elements of the day, and in this part, you can see the fog lights in triangular housings with chrome trim, as well as a quieter arrangement for the lower entrance. As you can see in the pictures, the R-Line trim of this crossover has the same bumper as the body, but in the lower trims, more plastic and aluminum elements are used; Especially in the lower part of the shield.
What makes the rear view of the 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross stand out from the past is the X-shaped rear LED graphics. An LED strip connects the two rear lights together. Changes have also been made to the design of the lower part of the rear bumper, and now a wide intake manifold is installed in this area, while the exhaust pipes are hidden; This gives a neater look to the rear of this German subcompact crossover.
Cabin facilities and equipment
The cabin of the new Volkswagen T-Cross undergoes changes following its exterior. Inside the cabin of this car, the new design of the entire dashboard can be seen. It is also noteworthy that the hard plastic trim before the facelift, which hurt the overall quality of the cabin, has been replaced by a softer, higher quality trim.
This German crossover goes one step further in terms of digital communication in the cabin. Now, behind the steering wheel, an 8- or 10-inch screen, depending on the trim, is placed as a digital amp screen. The center of the dashboard belongs to the 8- or 9.2-inch display of the infotainment system with updated software. Even instead of the old rotary dials, touch controls for the ventilation system are placed in front of the driver. Along with these, Volkswagen’s exclusive advanced driver assistance system called Travel Assist will support drivers.
Technical specifications of the Volkswagen T-Cross facelift version
Volkswagen T-Cross uses the same engines that were intended for the previous version. As a result, it is not going to have an electrified engine due to the new version of the facelift, while its competing crossovers in the market rely on electric propulsion.
Volkswagen is offering two engines for the 2024 T-Cross: a 1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder gasoline model with 94 or 113 horsepower and a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder model that can produce 148 horsepower. 5- and 6-speed manual transmissions as well as 7-speed DSG automatic transmissions will be available to transfer power to the front wheels.
The new Volkswagen T-Cross will go on sale in the first quarter of 2024 after pre-sales start in the fourth quarter of 2023. Yellow (Grape Yellow), blue (Clear Blue Metallic) and red (Kings Red Metallic) are the colors considered for this German crossover.
