Three -rate and subsidized gasoline is a comprehensive way to deal with fuel smuggling

A member of the House Energy Commission announced the follow -up of a three -rate gasoline and subsidized gasoline plan to counter smuggling. Is this plan implemented?

One of the current challenges of the 14th government is fuel smuggling. More than 25 million liters of fuel are exported to neighboring countries daily, and this unbelievable volume causes serious problems for the domestic fuel supply chain. The Parliament’s Energy Commission is pursuing a new design called three -rate gasoline and subsidies that can deal with fuel smuggling if realized.

According to Hamid Reza Azizi, a member of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and a member of the Parliament’s Energy Commission, the fuel distribution system must be reformed, and if this goal is achieved, there will be a fundamental change in consumption and distribution. The new plan is based on what he said, with any national code of gasoline subsidies so that the traffickers cannot reach their goal. According to the latest statistics released, 25 million liters of gasoline leaves the country daily, which is a inefficient fuel distribution system. He says:

In the new system, every Iranian citizen receives a gasoline quota based on its national code. For example, for each person a liter of gasoline at a subsidized price of 3000 USD is set to 30 liters per month.

According to Azizi, a four -person family will have a total of 120 liters of gasoline a month and more consumption is calculated as a step. In other words, since the 120 -liter subsidized gasoline ends, the four -person family has to pay up to 200 liters per liter to supply the required fuel. Also, if their monthly consumption is more than 200 liters, they should pay 20,000 USD.

The important advantage of allocating gasoline subsidies based on the national code is the careful observation of fuel consumption through the national number of people. However, mobile and non -trackable fuel cards will be accumulated and any transaction from the fuel card will be registered with the national code owner’s account. The three -rate plan and gasoline subsidies are being investigated and will be implemented if the commission appears to be a single commission.
