Since the initial rumors about the Galaxy S25 series, there have been many questions about the type of processors used in these phones. Now, with new information revealed just weeks before the official unveiling, it seems to have become clearer.
According to Tekna Technology News Media Service, Geekbench benchmark results have been published online. These data show that the international version of the Galaxy S25 Standard will be equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor along with 12GB of RAM. This news is important because in the previous model, the Galaxy S24, the international version used Samsung’s Exynos 2400 instead of the Snapdragon 8 generation 3 processor.
With this change, it seems that Samsung has decided to fully focus on Snapdragon chips this year. This move reinforces earlier rumors about the same processor across all Galaxy S25 variants.
Samsung has been offering a combination of Snapdragon and Exynos processors for its phones since 2012 with the launch of the Galaxy S3. At that time, depending on the region of release, various chips such as Exynos 4 Quad, Snapdragon S4 and Snapdragon 400 were used in these phones. This strategy would reduce production costs and increase profitability.
However, Snapdragon chips have always had better performance and higher efficiency than Exynos. This made the Galaxy S23 series fully equipped with Snapdragon processors, a move that was welcomed by users.
While Samsung’s decision to use the same chipset in all versions of the Galaxy S25 is admirable, one big concern remains: increasing the final price of the product. Many users hope that this change will not increase costs and transfer it to the final price. Samsung has yet to release any official comments about these changes, but expect more information to be released closer to the launch date.
