Xiaomi has decided to delay the launch of its new flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. While the initial reports were about the introduction of this phone in January 2025, now the new information shows that this phone will be introduced in February 2025, after the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
According to Tekna technology news mobile media service, Samsung is scheduled to introduce the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025. This collection will include the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, which is a direct competitor to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Xiaomi plans to draw more attention to its new flagship with a short delay. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 main sensor. This one-inch sensor is inherited from the previous model, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Also, the main camera of this phone will probably have a variable aperture that allows better control of light and image quality.
In the ultra-wide camera section, we will also see the presence of a 50 megapixel ISOCELL sensor. Also, 50 megapixel telephoto lens with IMX858 sensor and 3x optical zoom are other features of this phone. But the turning point of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the 200-megapixel periscope lens with the Samsung ISOCELL HP9 sensor, which will offer 5x optical zoom.
This flagship will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and will be available in versions with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory. The 6000 mAh battery of this phone with support for 90 W wired charging and 80 W wireless charging is one of its other strengths. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to make its global debut at the Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025) in Barcelona from March 3 to 6. This phone will attract a lot of attention with its advanced features, including powerful cameras and powerful hardware.
Tech enthusiasts will have to wait until then to see if Xiaomi can outdo its arch-rival Samsung with this flagship.
