After the launch of OnePlus 13, OnePlus has turned its focus to the new Ace series models, which are expected to be the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. According to a recent leak from Smart Pikachu on Weibo, these devices will have a new design compared to their predecessors.
According to Tekna Technology Media mobile news service, the whistleblower’s post shows that the Ace 5 series has an updated back design. A similar rumor was also circulating about the OnePlus 13, and indeed, the company introduced a slight change in the design of its new flagship. The phone’s camera island is no longer attached to the frame, but the circular camera island is compatible with previous models.
Since the OnePlus Ace series has followed the design trend of the OnePlus flagship for at least the last few years, we can expect the Ace 5 series to adopt the same design as the OnePlus 13. Smart Pikachu adds that the new phone has a large battery in a ceramic body. It also retains the classic alert slider, and the top-of-the-line version will come with 24GB of RAM.
The OnePlus Ace 5 will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the higher-end Ace 5 Pro may pack a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Reports also suggest that the Ace 5 will feature a 1.5K resolution flat OLED display from BOE, marking a change from the Ace’s curved screen design. is 3. It will support 100W wired fast charging, but will not include wireless charging. The Ace 5 Pro may use BOE’s X2 flat screen, also with 1.5K resolution.
It’s worth noting that the Ace 5 Pro’s camera system is expected to get a significant upgrade, featuring a Sony IMX906 main camera and an ISOCELL JN1 telephoto sensor, possibly using the same image processing technology as the Find X8 series. Both the IMX906 and JN1 are 50MP sensors. Although the Ace 3 Pro was launched at 3,199 yuan, the starting price of the Ace 5 Pro may increase due to the earlier launch time and higher cost of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
