After Apple unveiled the iPhone 16’s camera button, Android phone makers are now looking to add a similar camera button to their phones.
A new feature has made its way to the world of smartphones! After Apple added a physical shutter button (called Camera Control) to the camera in the iPhone 16 series, now it’s time for competitors to bring this attractive feature to Android phones.
Nubia Z70 Ultra will be one of the first Android phones to experience this feature. Ni Fei, the head of Nubia, promised that this camera button will convey a more realistic feeling to users. In addition, this button will be two-step, that is, with a half press you can focus on the subject and with a full press you can take the picture.
But Nubia is not alone in copying from Apple. Rumors indicate that Oppo’s Find X8 series will soon be launched with a button called “Quick Button” that allows users to quickly record moments. It is not yet clear what exactly this button will do, but it is expected to have similarities to the Camera Control button on the iPhone 16.
What is the need for a physical camera button?
You might be wondering why phone manufacturers are going back to physical camera buttons? The answer is simple: better user experience! Although most phones use software to control the camera, a physical button can make the photography experience much more enjoyable.
Given this trend, it seems that physical camera buttons will become a standard feature of flagship phones. Of course, this feature is not limited to the shutter button. Some manufacturers also use touch gestures to control the camera, which can make the user experience even more interesting.
If you are looking for a phone with a professional camera and advanced photography capabilities, the Oppo Find X8 series and the Nubia Z70 Ultra will be two very attractive options. Of course, for the final judgment, we have to wait for more detailed reviews of these phones.
