According to the latest foreign car news, BMW recently introduced the new 5 Series and i5 models for the Chinese market, which are upgraded in terms of design, technology and performance. The new 5 Series includes a total of 10 versions, 6 and 4 of which belong to the gasoline-powered 5 Series and the electric 5 Series i.e. i5, respectively, and each covers a specific group of Chinese drivers.
The 5 series for the Chinese market is assembled by the joint venture of BMW and Brilliance inside this country. The BMW and Brilliance joint venture company, which was established in 2003, initially assembled Series 3 and Series 5, and now has two active factories with a planned production capacity of 650,000 units. The 3 Series (with i3), 5 Series (with i5), iX1, X1, iX3, X3 and X5L are cars that Brilliance-BMW assembles and manufactures in China.

In the front view of the 5 series, the kidney grille of BMW, fairly elongated aggressive lights and boomerang-shaped daylights stand out. The chrome elements that add glamor to the car and the shiny “5” badge are other features of this version.

The i5 or the electric 5 series, relying on an electric motor in the rear axle, can produce a maximum of 250 kilowatts equal to 335 horsepower. Also, evaluations based on the CLTC standard show that this car has the ability to travel 567 kilometers on a single charge.
The release date of the new 5 series model
BMW plans to launch the new 5 Series and i5 models for the Chinese market on January 25. The German automaker will launch the car in Europe and the United States at a later date.
