Iran Khodro has taken an important step in this field by importing the Fau Bastion NAT EV electric minivan to serve the public transport fleet.
Not long ago, Iran Khodro made a name for itself by introducing the first electric taxi for the public transport fleet named JMEV GSE from the Chinese company JMC in the era of transformation of internal combustion vehicles to fully electric ones. According to the latest automobile news, now this company, as the largest car manufacturer in Iran, has decided to import a new electric car called Fau Bastion NAT EV. This will be Iran Khodro's second imported product from this Chinese company, and due to obtaining the necessary permits for numbering, we will soon see the presence of this product on the streets.
Introduction of Faw Bastion NAT EV
This car is made as a compact MPV van with dimensions of length, width and height of 4450, 1840 and 1680 mm and the arrangement of seats is placed in this car for 5 people. The all-electric Bastion NAT EV was designed by FAW in collaboration with D3 Travel and Didi Chuxing and has been marketed since the beginning of its construction by this company with the aim of entering the fleet of taxi and car sharing services. Fauve Bastion has used the ONE-BOX design language and concept to increase the utility of this vehicle.
Iran Khodro announced in a statement regarding the release of this car:

The second product of Iran Khodro Industrial Group will enter the taxi fleet in cooperation with Fav Bastion, one of the most reliable and high-quality brands in China.

You can charge the battery up to 80% within 30 minutes and travel 425 km after each full charge.
Iran Khodro's new imported amenities
As an electric taxi, this car has reasonable and good facilities in this category; Including:

- Multi-mode electric steering wheel
- 6-mode electric driver's seat with ventilation and rest mode
- 4-mode electric seat for the front passenger
- Driver, passenger and side airbags
- Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
- Brake assist system with emergency brake
- Traction control and stability
- Cruise control
- Hill start assist system
- Sliding side doors
- Word system without key with button start
- Energy recovery system from braking and excess heat
- Vehicle anti-rollover system

- Electronic rotary shifter
The exact date of the release of this car to the transport fleet is not known; But an important point is the lack of sufficient infrastructure for the use of these cars in the country, the most important of which is the lack of special charging stations for all-electric cars. Other factors that make it difficult to use these cars in Iran include the high cost of maintaining all-electric cars, the short life of the batteries, and the lack of existing infrastructure for repairing and replacing the batteries of these cars.
As long as all the infrastructure needed to use these cars is not created in the country, importing a limited number of these cars and creating an advertising show will lead to a big failure for Iranian car manufacturers; Because before using these cars, we have to think about replacing them.
