On the eve of CES 2024, Razer introduced the new 16-inch and 18-inch versions of the Blade laptop. Razer Blade 16 has the world's first 16-inch OLED 240 Hz display.
There is nothing left until the beginning of CES 2024 on January 9 (December 19) and companies in the field of technology are presenting their products in order to finally show them to visitors at this event. Dell recently unveiled new Dell XPS laptops alongside a 40-inch 5K ultra-sharp monitor, and the latest technology news suggests that Razer has also introduced two new Blade series laptops before this event.
Razer Blade 16 and 18 arrived with new displays
Razer introduced two new 16-inch and 18-inch versions of laptops. Blade 16 is the world's first 16-inch laptop that has a 240 Hz refresh rate screen, and the updated Blade 18 is equipped with an 18-inch screen with 4K resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate.
The 16-inch Razer Blade has improved in terms of display compared to last year, although it already had an extremely high-quality display. According to Razer, they made the 2024 Old Panel in collaboration with Samsung Display, a subsidiary of Samsung that operates in the field of display production. This panel displays images with QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and its response time is only 0.2 milliseconds.
The Razer Blade 16 display also supports ClearMR 11000 certification from the VESA organization, which classifies motion blur according to the ratio between clear and blurred pixels. The contrast ratio of this panel is declared to be 1,000,000:1, and with the DisplayHDR True Black 500 certificate, its black level should be noteworthy.
Apart from the 16-inch version, the 18-inch Razer Blade, which was equipped with a 240Hz QHD display last year, now uses a 4K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. 3 ms response time, Nvidia Gsync technology and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage are some other features of this version of the Blade laptop.
Razer also announced that the new Blade laptops have a CNC aluminum unibody construction and are designed with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 89%, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and ultra-thin bezels. In addition, both versions of this laptop series are Calman certified and color accurate, and each is factory calibrated.
Pricing and full specifications for the new 16-inch and 18-inch Blade versions are not known at this time, and Razer will share more details about the new products later on during CES 2024.
